ThrivePal UK: A National Palestinian Empowerment Programme in the UK
An initiative by the Arab Community Centre in Britain (ACC Britain),
in collaboration with the UK Gaza Community, and other Palestinian and British organisations across the UK.
✨ Our Vision
To empower British Palestinians and newly arrived Palestinian refugees, especially those from Gaza, to thrive socially, economically, and culturally in the UK through tailored programmes in employment, skills development, wellbeing, and community engagement.
Why This Programme
ThrivePal was created in response to urgent and growing needs within the Palestinian community in the UK. Many newly arrived Palestinians — especially those from Gaza — face extreme challenges integrating into life in the UK due to trauma, disrupted education or careers, language barriers, and unfamiliarity with UK systems. At the same time, established Palestinians are under pressure due to the ongoing war, community demands, and their own emotional burden.
ThrivePal offers a culturally rooted, community-led response. It fills critical gaps in support for Palestinians by combining professional development with community wellbeing and cultural empowerment. We recognise that successful integration goes beyond employment — it also means restoring dignity, identity, and confidence.
🌟 Skills & Employment Support
Why It Matters
Our research (ACCBritain survey, May 2025) found that 80% of Palestinians who arrived from Gaza in the past three years remain unemployed. The ongoing war in Gaza continues to impact not only the newly arrived but also long-established Palestinians in the UK — many of whom would otherwise be in a position to support new arrivals but are now facing emotional, financial, and logistical challenges themselves. In addition, Palestinians regularly report experiencing workplace discrimination, further limiting their opportunities for stable employment and advancement.
What We Offer
We will work in close coordination with existing UK organisations and programmes that support employment, education, and refugee integration. However, our approach is distinct: we commit to treating every beneficiary with dignity and deep understanding of the personal, social, and emotional challenges they face. We recognise the trauma, displacement, and uncertainty many Palestinian individuals experience — and we aim to build trust by providing respectful, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive support tailored to their priorities and lived realities.
We provide comprehensive, practical and culturally sensitive support to help Palestinians in the UK find meaningful work and achieve economic independence.
To build an empowered, resilient British Palestinian community where every individual—regardless of background or displacement—can thrive, contribute, and lead in society with dignity, purpose, and opportunity.
We support British Palestinians, especially those newly arrived from Gaza, through tailored employment, education, and wellbeing programmes. By providing skills development, job access, mental health support, and community integration, we aim to create pathways to long-term security, belonging, and leadership.
